Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
By using PermitPrice.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site is
PermitPrice publishes building permit fee formulas, calculators, and reference content for U.S. residential projects. Every dollar amount is derived from an official government fee schedule cited on the page. PermitPrice is not a permit application portal, contractor directory, code reference, or official government service.
No professional advice
Information on PermitPrice is for general reference and budgeting only. It is not legal advice, engineering advice, code interpretation, or an official quotation. Permit decisions, scope determinations, and final fee assessments are made by your local building department, not by this site.
Fee accuracy and changes
Fee schedules change. Surcharges, technology fees, and state levies are updated by jurisdictions on their own schedules. Although we cite the source document and last-verified date for every number, the official schedule on file with your jurisdiction at the moment you apply is the authoritative figure. PermitPrice makes no warranty that any fee shown is the fee you will be charged.
Calculator output
Calculator results are estimates produced by applying the cited fee formula to the inputs you enter. They do not include items the formula cannot capture, such as plan-review revisions, after-hours inspections, expired-permit reactivation, demolition fees bundled with new construction, third-party plan review, or trade-permit add-ons not separately priced. Always confirm the final invoice with your jurisdiction.
External links
PermitPrice links to government fee schedules, ordinances, and permit portals. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy at any point in time.
Intellectual property
Editorial text, page layouts, calculators, and the PermitPrice wordmark are owned by PermitPrice and Munib Ur Rehman. Fee formulas published by government bodies are public information; our reproduction of them, with annotations and worked examples, is original work. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. You may not republish, mirror, or scrape the site at scale without written permission.
No liability
PermitPrice is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim liability for any decision made in reliance on this site, including but not limited to budgeting decisions, project scope decisions, contractor selection, and permit filings.
